Why are we here? We are corporate refugees from the DC area and in the mid 2000s we hit the escape button to move to the Finger Lakes area of NY. Our goal was to slow down and “live simply so that others can simply live.” From that mission the idea expanded. As we grew our own food we found we could also grow enough for other people too. So maybe we could help “others to simply live well.” For about ten years we focused on growing the best gourmet salad greens, micro-greens and herbs to supply local area restaurants as well as local foodies. We believe that people deserve access to real food — grown with natural practices and delivered from as close a distance as possible.
In 2020 we hit the reset button again and decided to coastal. Our move to rural Maine included picks and shovels and a continued desire to grow great food. We didn’t sell any food this year, but love to share it.
